Rebecca Owen

Aerial Instructor

Rebecca Owen combined her background in dance, yoga, and fitness into a passion for aerial arts in 2011 with Artisan Athletics in Virginia and began teaching with AerBorne Artists in 2012.  She trained with Sirkus Ísland in Reykjavik, Iceland, and Viva Vertical in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she won Grand Champion for Aerial Hoop and Reserve Champion for Aerial Silks in PoleStars 2018.  She taught and trained with C2Air in Chantilly, Virginia whenever she was in town.  Rebecca joined Moana Loa Performing Arts in Suva, Fiji as student, coach, and performer from 2020-2024.  She found THE NEWMAN in 2024 first as a dance mom, then joined the faculty in 2025.  She has trained on aerial silks, hammock, lyra, moon, and spiral and dabbled in trapeze and cube, solo, duo, and more.  For Rebecca, aerial arts are the perfect fusion of strength, flexibility, and artistry, telling a story in four dimensions.
