Aerial Dance at THE NEWMAN

At THE NEWMAN we offer top-notch training in aerial dance performance and technique. Our aerial instructors, Nico (they/them) Sarah, and Maddy are professionally trained dancers, gymnasts and athletes, turned aerialists. Their love and passion for circus arts is evident in their ability to produce extraordinary results with their students. Whether you have a 4 year old looking to hang upside down and release some much needed energy, a teen looking to to grow their confidence and strength, or an adult looking for a new and exciting workout…. WE HAVE THE CLASS FOR YOU!

For 2025/2026 Fall/Spring Classes:

When in aerial class we have a no jewelry policy: Absolutely no jewelry is to be worn on the silks/fabrics. Jewelry is likely to create holes in our silks/fabric which causes the strength and safety of our equipment to become compromised.

Aerial Class Capacity and Safety Policy

NEW for 2025/2026:

All Aerial Classes held Tuesday through Thursday will now accommodate up to 16 students per class. With 8 rigging points available, students will share rigging points in pairs during each session.

Each class will continue to run for 90 minutes, allowing ample time for students to alternate safely between working on the equipment, learning proper spotting techniques, and resting.

As the use of at-home aerial equipment becomes more common, we want to emphasize the importance of proper training in spotting and safety protocols. Our goal is to ensure that every student is thoroughly prepared to support their fellow aerialists in a studio setting.

Please note: We do not condone the use of aerial equipment at home. Training without proper supervision and rigging standards can be extremely dangerous.
