Isabel Garnand
TNC Coach. Recreational Classes
Isabel Garnand is a dancer, choreographer, and instructor who is passionate about sharing her love of dance — both on the stage and in the classroom! Originally from New Mexico, she started taking dance lessons at 7 years old after constantly twirling through grocery stores and making up performances in the living room. She went on to dance competitively for several years, where she performed in multiple genres including ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, tap, and ballroom. Some highlights from her dancing journey include being selected by Abby Lee Miller of Dance Moms to be an ALDC Global Ambassador, receiving a ballroom scholarship from Dancing with the Stars’ Ezra Sosa, and dancing competitively to a routine by Blake McGrath. Her love of performing has also extended into acting, where she has played background roles in several productions for networks including Netflix, Nickelodeon, Magnolia, and Presbyterian Healthcare.
As an instructor, she strives to be a coach and mentor who sees each student for their individual strengths. She’s a stickler for great technique and loves choreographing numbers with strong storytelling and lots of DRAMA! Always a student of dance herself, she is currently pursuing a degree in Theatre & Dance while double majoring in Radiologic Technology. In her free time, she can be found taking virtual Steps On Broadway classes, crafting paper chains for every season, and watching reruns of Dance Moms with her cat, Phat Louie.
