Brooke Newman (A.K.A “Ms. Brooke”) is the owner and artistic director of THE NEWMAN Dance Center.  Ms. Brooke was born and raised in New Hampshire and is a graduate of The University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor's Degree in Theater, and an emphasis in Dance. She has been dancing since the age of 2, primarily under the direction of Lisa Christou, Jennifer Beauvais Reinert, Larry Robertson and Gay Nardone. She is classically trained in ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, lyrical, jazz, and aerial, and has taught dance to and choreographed for students of all ages with astounding success. Ms. Brooke has performed professionally with the New England Dance Ensemble, Neoteric Dance Collaborative, and was a 4 year member of the Manchester Wolves Dance Team (arena football), training under the direction of Heidi Laroche. Ms. Brooke has successfully completed teacher training courses in aerial dance at the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) in Battleboro, VT.  Ms. Brooke has taught along the east coast, including 12 years as a recreational and competitive coach at Studio 180 Dance, in Annapolis, MD. Her choreography has won multiple choreography, technique and competition overall high scoring awards, at both the regional and national level. She has also worked with soloists of all ages to help them achieve various regional and national titles. Ms. Brooke is so excited for EVERY class at THE NEWMAN, and looks forward to working hard and having fun with each and every one of her students!
