BALLET CONDITIONING/TECHNIQUE

This class is designed to focus on the understanding of correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body (epaulement), and use of arms (port de bras). We also focus on conditioning and strength training that is used to to provide a regimen of exercises for the development of a dancers physical endurance, strength, flexibility, and coordination. We focus on specific elements and repetition, as muscle memory is a key element to a strong technical dance foundation. 

Dress Code:

Girls: Any color leotard, pink or black tights, pink ballet slippers. Skirts are optional. Leg warmers may only be used during barrework. Hair pulled neatly off the neck and face.

Boys: White fitted T-shirt, black fitted pants. black ballet slippers
