BALLET
Ballet focuses on allowing dancers to learn classical terminology and technique that is the foundation of the art of dance. Dancers will learn proper alignment, posture, and fluidity through a series of exercises that progress from the ballet barre to the center of the room and across the floor.
Dress Code: Consistent adherence to the dress code is an important part of maintaining a focused and professional learning environment. If a student is out of dress code more than three times, they will be required to sit and observe class rather than participate until they are properly dressed.Girls: *Hair MUST be pulled neatly off the neck and face and secured into a bun. Dancers should not be fixing their hair in class.
Pre Ballet: Any color leotard (attached skirt optional) any color tights and pink ballet slippers.
Ballet 1 and 2: Burgundy leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.
Ballet 3: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers. (Ballet skirts optional. Leg warmers may be worn for barre work only.)
Ballet 4: Black leotard, pink or black tights, pink ballet slippers. (Ballet skirts optional. Leg warmers may be worn for barre work only.)
Ballet 4: Black leotard, pink or black tights, pink ballet slippers. (Ballet skirts optional. Leg warmers may be worn for barre work only.)
Ballet 5: Black leotard, pink or black tights, pink ballet slippers. (Ballet skirts optional. Leg warmers may be worn for barre work only.)
Boys: Levels 1-5: White fitted T-shirt, black fitted pants, black ballet slippers.
NEW for 26-27: The last ballet class of every month, girls are allowed to wear any color leotard, and boys are allowed to wear any color fitted t-shirt to class.
